[GREM] Boffo Bio - 2018

BOFFO GETS ANOTHER UPDATE!
AUGH I really loved her previous designs long tail, but it was becoming a real deterrent to wanting to draw her, having to pose it in a picture was almost like having to pose a whole second person only stuck to her butt. @.@

A new trait-swap was approved and OMG I LOVE HER?
I really like cute anthro bugs and I had a lot of fun turning her into a fuzzy bug-grem.
As a note her 'antennae' is just the wire trait mutation and they don't serve any actual purpose (besides being adorable).

Boffo ( 40's slang. "Extremely successful; sensational" )

Age: 
5 years (in the human world, not counting time in development and growth.)

Gender: 
None/Neutral;
Boffo understands and is comfortable with the fact she has no physical gender. Gender identity
just isn't something that she thinks about or worries much over. Her human family refer to her as 
female, so this is what she defaults to most of the time more out of habit than anything else.

Ownership Status:
Still resides with her owner Antoinette Verde and family, including Toni's Husband Jeremy, and 
young daughter Angie (4 years old). Pretty much treated like a second child/older sister to 
the little girl.



Backstory:
Boffo was a surprise gift to Toni from her loving husband, Jeremy, when Antoinette decided 
once and for all that she wanted to follow her dream of opening a Grooming Parlor for Grems. 
Toni had never owned a Grem before but had always been in love with the species; she was over 
the moon when she learned she was not just going to be working with Grems but owning one of 
her own as well and took quite a long time to settle on a final design for her baby.

A year after Boffo had been commissioned, Antoinette became pregnant with her first child, and 
while awaiting her due date it caused her to revise some of her assumptions and opinions about 
how many Grems are treated. 

Antoinette was very 'hands on', or at least as involved as she was allowed to be in Boffo's 
creation process and eventually came to feel that the Grem was just as much a child to her as 
her own little girl.

As a result, when Boffo was finally allowed to come home with the family, she was treated from 
the start as an equal member, kind of like a big sister to their daughter Angie (who was 3 
years old by the time Boffo moved in, and is now 4). 

Currently Boffo lives a very comfortable life and has a positive outlook on humans and Grem- 
human relationships. She has her own room in the home she shares with her family and thinks of 
the child in the household as a sibling over whom she is very protective and nurturing. She 
works at Antoinette's parlor, Pizzazz, as an employee with a fair wage and was encouraged into 
opening her own bank account. 

Antoinette tries hard to take Boffo's wants into account when making family decisions and 
encourages Boffo to make friends and try new things; however like most any mother she also may 
be guilty of sheltering Boffo just a little too much from the harsh realities of life leading 
Boffo to be just a little too trusting and quite naive.



Lifestyle:
Serves as the face of Pizzazz, Her image has been turned into a logo for their various 
products. Every Friday she takes part in a live demonstration on the sidewalk outside the shop 
where Toni, Boffo's owner and head groomer at Pizzazz, offers a free walk-up seminar on Grem 
hair and fur care and various grooming techniques. 

She is also slowly receiving training from Toni (and other experienced employees) in offering 
grooming services herself, but for the time being she's only a trainee. She makes her money by 
working at the parlor and when not giving demonstrations performs receptionist duties, greets 
customers, sign-dances outside the shop, and light janitorial duties. 



Personality:
Boffo received special training to ensure that she would have a quiet, personable temperament 
and be very good at sitting still for long periods of time (something she doesn't mind as it 
usually means she's getting a luxurious brushing.)

Boffo is friendly and happy to meet new people, but rarely speaks without prompting to 
strangers, sometimes even becoming downright shy when in the presence of someone she finds 
impressive or attractive; however, its nearly a night and day change when she's in the company 
of those she is familiar with and feels comfortable around, becoming quite a chatterbox.

The one exception to this is speaking on the phone... she HATES having to talk on the phone 
and sweats bullets every time she's expected to answer a call at the front desk it gives her 
a lot of anxiety.

Boffo can be very cuddly and loves to hug friends and family, especially her 'little human 
sister' Angie when not at work. 

She's also sweet and thoughtful, very good at reading people (for the most part) and 
anticipating their needs and wants. She's most comfortable getting to know someone slowly over 
time and generally, when she's interested in initiating a friendship will people watch and 
observe the target for some time to learn their habits and temperament before approaching; and 
can sometimes worry a bit too much what to say when starting conversation. 
Though there are rare exceptions, and she has a much easier time when being approached by an 
outside party.

IT IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HER ANGRY.

gets awkward and just PLEASE NO THANKS?

Boffo's design had a trait swap for different ears and tail, and added a free mutation (wire trait on head). Bio updated 1/10/18
